Start from November 1st, 2006 JICT Apply 100% Sterile Terminal

1 November 2006 - (Jakarta, November 1st, 2006) Start from today, Jakarta International Container terminal (JICT), as the biggest Container Terminal in Indonesia will sterilize its terminal (Line 1) from unauthorized people and vehicles. To fully comply the International Maritime Organization (IMO)’s International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, JICT has finished some preparation works including installation of 2.4 meters high fence at main gate to separate line 1 (restricted area) and line 2 (Admin building), 115 Cameras Close Circuit TV (CCTV) installed at 26 points, re-structured parking area and new regulation that every person who want to come in JICT restricted area should use JICT ID, safety vest and uniform from their own companies. All vehicles including container trucks, also should obtain permit from Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO). JICT management also commits to adopt the Transport Minister Decree KM No. 74/1990 (article 12) prohibiting a truck carrying double-20 ft container.
